Sparta Cycling specializes in creating, promoting  and managing international  cycling events. We are UCI event specialists.
Sparta is the UCI's unique North American  partner for the UCI World Cycling Tour and owns and operates both the Berkshire Cycling Classic and the Thompson Bucks County Classic. Sparta has been the technical consultant for the UCI Winston-Salem Cycling Classic.

Tour of Winston-Salem UWCT 

UCI World Tour Event

The Tour of Winston-Salem is the only UCI Amateur World Championships qualifying event for North America. The event, run under USA Cycling Gran Fondo rules, allows both both non-licensed riders and USA Cycling amateur license holders  to participate.

All  riders will be chip-timed and  given an individual ranking, both on overall time and according to their finishing position, by time, in the their respective men’s and women’s age groups. The top 25% finishers in each age group will qualify for the UCI World Amateur Road Championships to be held in Slovenia this August 28-31.

 

 

 

Berkshire Cycling Classic

USAC Races & Gran Fondo

The third annual Berkshire Bicycle Classic in Lenox, Massachusetts, on Saturday, June 14, has added five USA Cycling catetgories to the event schedule. The event, with its challenging 80-mile racecourse run in point-to-point format, provides a European-style racing experience for both developing racers and recreational GF riders. 

Categories include: Gran Fondo, Category 5 & Category 4 Men, Women Open, Masters 40+ and 50+.

Bucks County Classic

UCI and NRC Racing

September 13 & 14, 2014

The Thompson Bucks County Classic will take place on September 13 and 14, 2014. The event, which is the final stop on both the UCI America Tour and USA Cycling National Racing Calendar, includes the newly designed  UCI Doylestown to New Hope road race, professional criteriums for men and women, a spirited recreational ride for cycling enthusiasts, and children’s races. 

Television coverage will include: live-streaming to the web for jumbotron, computers and mobile devices, and coverage on Comcast SportsNet and CBS3.
